Same Building… New Office Suite

We have changed suites in our office building - 2040 Linglestown Road. We are now in Suite 107.

From 2008 to 2020 our offices were in 2000 Linglestown Road. The building’s owner also owns the building next door. He came to us in 2020 and asked us to relocate from our current suite to the building next door in a large office suite comprised of private offices and a shared conference and common area. This worked out well for us because our lease was considerably less expensive, and our usable office space was actually larger. It also allowed the owner to lock in some larger, long-term leases by juggling the office spaces in the two buildings. One of the caveats of the new lease was that the owner has the option to relocate us to a similar office space in either 2000 or 2040 Linglestown Road. 

It was our understanding that he planned to keep our new office space private offices with the shared conference room, but in October he notified us that he was able to lease the whole bottom quarter of the building (the portion we were in) for the next seven years. He explained that he thought the demand for single office suites would be high, but the opposite has occurred with a low demand for single office spaces and a high demand for larger spaces with long-term leases. This did not surprise us because we were currently the only business using the shared office space.
