Deposits & Transfers from AdvisorClient

The TD Ameritrade Institutional (TDAI) AdvisorClient website can be set up so that you can create a bank link and control deposits and withdraws from it. Below are instructions.

If you don’t see a Deposits and Transfers section on the AdvisorClient section, email Stephen Hetrick to add it.

You should be selecting “Yes” to connect to an account you are an owner or joint owner on.

Select ACH for the connection type, complete the other fields, and press “Next”.

With some banks, you will be required to verify the bank link. If this is necessary, TDAI will make two deposits of under $1 into your bank account. You will need to look those up and then enter them into this section. Just follow the instructions for verification and let us know if you have problems.

You have a lot of flexibility to set up one-time or recurring withdrawals. Enter the information and select “Continue”. Follow the steps to finish the process.

Generally, we like scheduling withdrawals and deposits at least two days in advance so that if we want to make changes, we have at least a day to alter the instructions.

Once completed, you can check scheduled deposits and withdrawals under the “Activity” tab.
